IFS Cloud successfully implemented at Deutsche Elektromotoren Holding: FLEXiCODE supports smooth ERP integration

Deutsche Elektromotoren Holding (DEM-H), an umbrella company of renowned manufacturers of industrial drive solutions, chose IFS after a structured selection process for a suitable ERP system. Three years ago, DEM-H emerged from the merger of the traditional companies Dietz-motoren GmbH and Elektromotorenwerk Grünhain GmbH (EMGR). In 2024, Electric motor Company Bulgaria (EmCB) was also integrated into the holding. With a broad portfolio of electric motors and customized drive concepts, the group serves both national and international markets. Together with the experts from FLEXiCODE, IFS Cloud has now been successfully introduced as a new ERP system at the DEM-H companies – a significant milestone for digital standardization and efficiency improvement within the group of companies.

IFS most highly rated

The key users at DEM-H had previously evaluated various well-known ERP systems. The user team rated IFS Cloud as the best. Due to its international reach and broad functionality, the team recognized IFS Cloud as offering the greatest potential to establish the companies’ business processes efficiently and future-proof, particularly concerning digitalization, collaboration, planning, control, and optimal customer orientation. Furthermore, the interpersonal chemistry between the DEM-H and FLEXiCODE representatives was a good fit – an important success criterion and prerequisite for a successful implementation.

Processes of two companies mapped within standard scope

The goal was to map the existing processes within the IFS standard – successfully. Only a single system extension was required. Two different ERP systems were replaced to harmonize and optimize the previously heterogeneous processes. Consistent use of IFS standard functions eliminated redundant structures and created a uniform, efficient process landscape. This enables improved data consistency, reduced complexity, and increased transparency across all business areas.

Stable go-lives just in time

The roll-out of IFS Cloud took place in two phases: EMGR went live successfully in May 2025, followed by Dietz-motoren GmbH one month later. EmCB is already preparing for a go-live in July. Both previous go-lives were carried out on schedule and with stability. The project is currently in the fine-tuning and operational follow-up phase.

“With the new IFS Cloud ERP system, the foundation for the group’s continued growth has been laid. Thanks to the standardized ERP foundation, we benefit from synergies such as a unified database and further process improvements. From the outset, FLEXiCODE gave us the feeling that we had found the right partner – professionally competent and personally on an equal footing. The collaboration was characterized by trust, clarity, and a shared understanding of our goals,” agree Markus Kurz, Plant Manager at EMGR, and Nima Saihoun, Solution Manager / Project Manager for IFS Implementation.

With the successful completion of the system implementation, DEM-H has established a future-proof platform to leverage synergies, harmonize processes, and sustainably enhance the digital management of the entire corporate group.
