In March of last year, Jakob AG successfully launched its newly developed IFS Cloud application. The implementation and technical support for this project were provided by the Managed Service Team at FLEXiCODE Schweiz AG.
Optimized Solution in Our Own Azure Cloud
Jakob AG, a leading provider of rope and net technology, has been working with IFS Cloud for several years. To sustainably improve the stability and performance of its IFS system environment, Jakob decided to modernize its systems and turned to Flexicode’s digital transformation experts for support.
The company decided to operate in a self-hosted environment within the Microsoft Azure Cloud, so technical support has since been provided by Flexicode as an “on-premises” managed service.
The system migration to the new IFS environment went smoothly, and the new system was fully deployed in just four hours of planned downtime. At the same time, the application was further developed and stabilized step by step.
Structured Project and Optimization Phase
The actual project migration phase began in November 2023 and took about three months to complete. Since then, Flexicode Managed Service has been providing ongoing support and maintenance for the system to ensure stable and scalable operations for the company in the long term.
The improvements to the system are clearly noticeable: Processes have been accelerated through performance optimizations, sources of errors have been eliminated, and system stability has been significantly improved.
